Anthony Rispoli

Hi, my name is Anthony Rispoli and I'm a senior at The Pennsylvania State University majoring in Broadcast Journalism. I grew up in New Jersey and eventually travelled to Pennsylvania for university. This website is designed to document the broadcast, radio and print journalism work I've done at Penn State.

Upon graduating, I wish to become a writer or a producer at a news outlet. I hope this website finds you well, and feel free to browse my works.

Bio: Who Am I?

My name is Anthony Rispoli and I'm from Mahwah, New Jersey. I was born in Gwangju, South Korea but came to the United States not long after. I've spent most of my time at Penn State pursuing a career in journalism. I switched to a major in Broadcast Journalism during my sophomore year to follow the drive and ambition I had to pursuing a career as a journalist. As I was introduced to more sides of the field, I got more passionate and excited about breaking into the field. I was having fun creating content, and immediately knew this was the correct career choice.

I intend to graduate in December 2018 and I hope the skills and experiences I've learned at Penn State will prepare me for a career in journalism. I have taken courses in print, radio and broadcast journalism to get a diverse understanding of what the field has to offer, including a specific course where I was part of a student-run news station. I've grown significantly in my professional life and writings because of these courses, and must admit I am proud of my achievements and growth.

I'm also involved with a publication at Penn State called Panorama as a writer. This publication was my first exposure to journalism and showed me how to write and conduct myself as a journalist. Panorama is a smaller publication at Penn State, but strives to give a diverse range of news to students. I've had the pleasure of having several of my articles published on the Panorama website.

My skills were furthered after interning with CBS New York during the 2018 summer. I got hands on experience and exposure to the various positions in a newsroom, and even helped Assignment Desk Editors piece together developing stories by contacting local governing bodies, such as NYPD. I capped off my experience at CBS New York by co-anchoring the Intern Newscast, which highlighted the various intern positions at the company.

This website is designed to document my journalistic work I've completed while at Penn State. Feel free to reach out to me with any and all questions you may have. Thank you, and please enjoy!
